About This Wiki
Last updated: June 16, 2026
The Meccha Chameleon Wiki is an independent, fan-made resource for the paint hide-and-seek game Meccha Chameleon (めっちゃカメレオン) by solo developer lemorion_1224. We exist to answer the questions players actually ask — how to play, how to win as a Hider or Seeker, how the paint tool works, what each map and hiding spot looks like, which platforms the game runs on, and how to fix common problems — in one clear, well-organized place.
What we cover
- Guides & strategy — rules, round structure, Hider and Seeker tactics, beginner tips, advanced techniques.
- Mechanics — the paint tool, eyedropper / color matching, poses and crouch.
- Maps — every official map and its documented hiding spots, plus the Steam Workshop.
- Setup & support — controls, multiplayer, system requirements, Steam Deck, connection fixes and patch notes.
- Commercial info — release date, price and our is-it-worth-it review.
Who we are
We are a small group of players and writers who cover indie multiplayer games. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by lemorion_1224 or Valve / Steam. All game names, trademarks and artwork belong to their respective owners; we use screenshots and references for the purpose of commentary, guidance and identification.
Our source policy
Everything on this wiki is built from verifiable sources. Before we publish a fact, we ground it in one or more of the following:
- The official Steam store page (App ID 4704690) and the developer’s own pages for release, price and platform details.
- In-game data — controls, game modes, maps and hiding spots — cross-checked against multiple community wikis.
- Reputable coverage such as PC Gamer, PCGamesN and Game-Meta for reception, sales and review context.
- Developer patch notes for version history and changelogs.
Where sources disagree — for example, the reported download size — we say so plainly, state the figure we treat as primary, and note the alternative rather than quietly picking one. Where data isn’t verified yet (such as hiding spots on a brand-new map), we show an honest “coming soon” state instead of inventing details. The game updates frequently, so figures and features can change; we date our pages and update them as new patches land.
Corrections
Spotted something out of date or wrong? We welcome corrections. Because the game is actively patched, the most authoritative source for live numbers (price, version, download size) is always the official Steam store page.
